You can interpret the meaning yourself or you can read mine. The painting depicts a girl, her gaze directed downwards, indicating deep contemplation or emotional perception. An important part of the painting is her shoulder, on which rests the somewhat surrealistically enlarged hand of her father. The touch of the hand on her shoulder expresses the tenderness, warmth and presence of the father. Her expression on her face indicates a sense of security and trust that comes from the presence of her father, even in difficult moments, a message that everything will be fine. His hand on her shoulder is a symbol of support, connection and stability. The touch of the father's hand on the girl's shoulder evokes a feeling of protection and love. The meaning of the painting can be multifaceted. It can illustrate the importance of family ties, the bond between father and daughter and the mutual trust that it brings. The touch of the father's hand on the girl's shoulder can also symbolise mentoring, monitoring and guidance through life. Each viewer can include their own experiences and emotions in the interpretation of this painting, so the meaning can be personal and subjective. The father's hand means parents in general, it can also be the mother or both, in my case. Or you can imagine someone who supports you. I chose the man's hand because of the contrast - a soft, gentle portrait and a concrete man's hand.
